Bogd Khan Uul National Park
In 1783 the Mongolian government made Bogd Khan Uul a national park to protect its beauty making Bogd Khan Uul the oldest national park in the world. Its highest point is 2,757 m above sea level. Bogd Khan Uul was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List on August 6, 1996 in the Cultural category. World Heritage sites are those that exhibit universal natural or cultural significance or both. At the front side foot of Bogd Khan Uul national park you find the ruine of Manzushri monastery and the Zuun Mod sity, the capital of Tuv province. At the backfoot of Bogd Khan Uul national park you see Zaisan Panorama hill, Buddha Park, Sky resort and Observatory.
The National Park area is ideal for hiking, horseriding and photography.
1 hour drive to Manzushri monastery. 3-4 hours hike to the summit. 52 km away from Ulaanbaatar.
